Studio Marigot

Studio for rent by the sea on the French side of St Martin

Reviews & Testimonials From Our Guests

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your studio. It is very comfortable and very clean. We have loved St. Martin and hope to return next year. It really is a paradise that we have never found in our previous trips in the Caribbeans, everything is perfect: the food, climate and people.

Lovely, very clean and well appointed. Right on its own stretch of private beach, very close to the Harbour and amenities in Marigot. Road construction out front will provide a nice and modern facelift when complete. We enjoyed our stay!

I kept rejecting postcards because none had as picturesque a view as the view of Marigot from the balcony (off to the right of the — also beautiful — directly ahead sea view shown on the website). Nicely decorated and well maintained. Useable (if tiny) kitchen. Minimal closet space. (You don’t need a lot of clothes on the island!) A perfect location. As promised, an easy walk into town and to the entirely adequate grocery store. We did rent a car to explore the island so the free parking across the street was much appreciated. St. Martin is a favorite of ours as Orient Beach is entirely comfortable for couples in mixed marriages like ours (one naturist, one not). Go to the street fair in Grand Case on Tuesday night and enjoy the free music!

This is the perfect spot for enjoying all of St. Martin! It was fabulous to wake up every morning and enjoy coffee & croissants on the balcony overlooking the water. We loved having the kitchen to cook in a few nights, and we loved the vibe of this sweet french apartment complex. In addition, Studio Marigot was in one of the best locations in all of St. Martin. It felt like a 15-min drive from everything we wanted to explore and see — from the Beach Club in Grand Case to the Radisson’s awesome beach to the Butterfly Farm to Orient Bay to Baie Rough (which were probably our favorite spots), we loved having Studio Marigot be our home base. The apartment is equipped with everything you need (truly). The only minor difficulty we had was finding the building on the first day and (without phones), figuring out how to get in and get in touch with Regina — the apartment manager with our keys. It’s highly recommended to have an international calling plan just to be able to call and communicate on the first day! If we ever return to St. Martin, we’ll be staying here again! Thanks for everything!

We loved it! The descriptive on the listing was accurate. The pictures displayed the studio just as it is. The studio is well maintained and clean and has all the dishes and utensils that we needed. The owner as well as the on site property manager displayed excellent customer service, responding promptly to inquiries, friendly and professional. The location of the studio is absolutely perfect, a few steps from the beach and a short walk to the “centre ville.” Every morning of our stay, we walked to the La Croissanterie for croissants, coffee and an excellent view of early morning boat and people activity. En route, there is a fun and unique gift shop to explore - Anthropode. A short drive away are the wonderful restaurants of Grand Case. Our favorite was Bistro Caraibes. Not to be missed are Lotterie Farm. Isle Pinel, shopping in Phillipsburg and the numerous lolos scattered here and there. We will definitely return and will recommend the studio to friends.

With it’s stunning beach (snorkelers’ delight but beware of sea urchins) the location of this property couldn’t be better. The unit itself is very nice as well. My husband and I had an amazing time in on the island and enjoyed coming ‘home’ to the comfortable studio. What you see here is what you get. The pictures are very accurate as is the claim that the kitchen is equipped to cook your meals. The owners are very professional and provide tons of information to help guests make the most of their stay. We were happily surprised by the added bonus of the hotel directly beside the residence. The staff at the Hotel Beach Plaza knew we weren’t staying there and were still very welcoming, giving us access to amenities like wi-fi and electric socket converters. The only reason for the 4, not 5, star rating was that construction was taking place in the building hallways for our entire stay. The owners did not mention this, though they might not have been aware, and it was info I would like to have known. The studio itself was exceedingly clean and the construction was a minor inconvenience, unlikely to occur outside of the off-season.

We liked this little studio in a great location at a few steps from all services. The views of the marina in Marigot with sailboats and catamarans in a wonderful show. The beach site is not great I suggest you rent a car which makes access to these exceptional beaches on this beautiful island, Pinel island is particularly splendid.

My girlfriend and I had a great time at Studio Marigot. It was exactly as advertised and there were no surprises in terms of condition, quality, location, and contents of the studio. The apartment was clean and maintained and the lady we picked up our keys from was helpful. Response to emails and customer service leading up to the trip was prompt and easy. There are a couple of things to keep in mind if you are new to the island. Since we had no phone (at arrival) and no idea where we were going, more specific directions would have helped us find the place slightly easier. After the second day, we realized how easy it was, but the first day we were pretty lost. Being the French capital, Marigot has some nice shops and a marina, but had a much more European long-extended (study abroad) feel rather than a spa-tourist/vacation feel. It was slightly far from things that we wanted to do, so renting a car is definitely a must if you stay here. We exhausted the marina and shops in a day, so most everything was a drive away and Marigot is of the more congested areas on the island. We would definitely recommend this place, specifically to couples looking to explore the island and not pay a lot of money.
